welcome to bhoomi

Bhoomi, a café, bookstore and chocolate shop, is the creative expression of Nevine Michaan and her eldest daughter Danielle. Their intention was to create a special destination for anytime visits in close proximity to Nevine's other venture the Katonah Yoga Center. The space had to be magical, the products unique and the energy welcoming.

This is a place where one can sit and sip teas, enjoy homemade pastries, drink espresso beverages or savor the most divine artisan chocolates and take home beautiful books and unique offerings.

In addition to our signature chocolates, exotic teas and eclectic books we offer hand-painted porcelain teapots and accessories, local honey, beeswax candles, aromatherapy essential oils, soapstone diffusers, yoga props and clothes. Circular lavender and white striped gift boxes, reminiscent of the shop’s décor, are available to present sentiments of gratitude and affection.
